Evolution University's logo holds the symbol of the four directions, north, east, south, and west that also represent the elements and messages of air, earth, fire, water, the four seasons of winter, spring, summer, and fall, and the four steps of the EVOLVE Sustainability Framework. Blending these symbols with lessons from nature, this workshop takes you on an interactive and magical journey of renewing our connection with nature and coexisting in harmony in our personal and professional lives.

This workshop was developed for the United Nations International Day of Peace. Compassion is a mindset and a skillset proven to be essential for creating a more peaceful and sustainable world. This workshop shares insights on how to cultivate, activate, and integrate compassion for people, the planet, and peace. Participants will learn a universal language of peace, engage in storytelling exercises to connect with experiences of people and nature, and discover ways to make meaningful change by finding solutions and taking action for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Participants will be invited to take the MORE Compassion Pledge that inspires daily actions to co-create a better world by being peacemakers and changemakers.

Your heart is the greatest power center in your body, yet what often happens in the workplace is we get caught up in tasks and to-do lists, then find ourselves drained and disconnected. By reconnecting to our hearts, we can find ways to strengthen resiliency, reignite joy, and access an abundance of energy to fuel our passions. We'll explore ways of tapping into multiple forms of empathy and practice openly listening-- proven top leadership skills.

Compassion research shows that activating the heart center shapes brain responses from scarcity to abundance, leading to better decision making as well as employee and customer experiences. We'll engage in sensory exercises and practice compassion hacks when triggered to quickly transform our relationships and maintain a proactive leadership presence.

Climate change is a real and undeniable threat to our entire civilization and is the formidable challenge of our lifetime. The effects are already visible and will be catastrophic unless we act now. Facing these issues presents both challenges and opportunities for cities, businesses, and community organizations to make the necessary changes to protect the planet while modernizing infrastructure and industry, creating new jobs, and promoting greater prosperity across communities.

This workshop ignites a climate action planning process by providing a clear purpose and centering actions around SDG 13: Climate Action and the complimentary SDGs that together create a comprehensive plan across social, economic, and environmental sectors.

The EVOLVE Sustainability Framework guides participants through the stages of planning from evaluation, and the often skipped, yet essential phases of imagination and innovation, to making it real through implementation.

The climate crisis affects all of us. But together we can solve it. That is why Al Gore created the “Truth in 10” slideshow, a 10-minute presentation to share the truth of what’s happening to our planet and the solutions in our hands.

Presented by NYC 2024 trained Climate Reality Leader Joni Roberts, the presentation breaks down the science of global warming and how rising greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuels lead to more and more extreme weather events and impacts from rising seas to fast-spreading disease.

Just as important, “Truth in 10” explains how we can solve this crisis and create a better future for all with a just transition to clean energy, using the tools and technology here today. All in simple and easy-to-understand terms any audience can follow.

This presentation is complimentary and is ideal for schools, colleagues, and more talking about climate change and how we can solve it together.
